Dinosaur adventure!

Home safe from our adventures with the dinosaurs, but they weren't half as scary as the bus ride in. I'm not so sure taking the bus was the best option afterall..... our driver seemed to think he could go through a red light. I think he may have been anticiapating it changing to green as he approached, but when it didn't he suddenly slammed on the brakes resulting in many passengers being thrown forward into the backs of the seats in front..... luckily no one was seriously hurt!

Cody and Cam on the bus

Once we made it to the Cultural Centre, we alighted from the bus and made our way to the Museum. Cam getting more and more excited the closer we got.

Cam looking down into the Dinosaur Garden.

T-rex and Triceratops were just as I remember them from last time I visited the museum, but the Dinosaur garden area had been transformed into more of a play area for kids, with some interactive displays as well.

T-rex

Triceratops

Interactive display on eggs including what a dinosaur egg looks like.

Robotic dinosaur hatchlings

Sing and dance with dinosaur shadow show.

Enjoying lunch while watching the shadow show.

Riding T-Rex

Cody in the play tunnel.

After having a great time in the Dinosaur Garden, we decided to take a look around he rest of the Museum.

Muttaburrasaurus Skeleton.

Triceratops and T-Rex Skulls.

Adds new meaning to the term "pest" - LOL.

Is this where that Bundy bear ended up after a night out?

Cam even liked seeing the snakes on display too!

After exploring the rest of the museum, we caught the bus home.... the journey being much more pleasant than the trip in. Cody fell asleep on the bus and Cam soon after, during the car trip home from the bus station.
We had a great time on this adventure. Stay tuned for the next one.

Public Holiday...... what could I do to entertain 2 young boys?

Woke up on this fine and sunny Monday morning, wondering what I could do to entertain my two young boys today. The day is too beautiful to spend indoors or simply at home.
After looking at what was on offer in Brisbane, I've decided to take them to the Museum with the main attraction being the new Interactive Dinosaur garden.
To make the trip even more special, I think I may even treat them to a ride on a bus or train.... cheaper option than having to pay for parking I'm sure.

I have camera charged, so will update this blog with some pics once we get home from our exciting adventure! So stay tuned!
